- Daniel Connor
The Saturday will see one of the Sharks longest playing members each game 75.
Daniel Connor is a regular stalwart of the club and always gives his all in every game. Competitive, relentless and always willing to put his head over the ball. We spoke with Coach Adam Jack to get his insight on Dan.
“Ive had the privilege of watching Dan with us all the way from training with us as a junior through till now. Over the years Dan has worked hard on his skills and game knowledge and has turned himself into a tenacious, speedy high half forward goal sneak whos reliability in working both with and without the ball makes him one of the first names on the team sheet and come game day I know Dan is going to put his all in for the team.”
We also caught up with Dan and asked him to relfect on his time so far and let us know what his faourite memory has been playing.
“It means a lot to have played that many games given how short the seasons are. I hadnt realised I had played that many games until I was told this weekend would be my 75th! The best memory I have is probably when we won the Haggis Cup at GHA (2013) because it was the first trophy I was selected to play in the team for and to do that at our home ground with Friends and Family I had been training with for a few years was extra special.”
Dan joins a small group of players to have reached 75 games and his accomplishments and effort on and off the field worthy of a club superstar.
